Ultimate Spider-Man Vol. 1

I didn't even know this new series existed! I stumbled upon it quite randomly and I was hooked immediately by its new take on the Spider-Man story. This superhero has been revisited so many times that I wasn't particularly optimistic and, gladly, I was proven wrong. I felt nostalgic and refreshed by this story! Its setup leaves you with a lot of uncertainty about who's going to be good and who's not.

To be fair, I might be biased since this version of Peter Parker matches where I am in life right now (kids, job and all). I'd still recommend it to everyone who grew up with Spider-Man. This first volume was a good start so we'll see how it evolves. Enjoy the ride!

Five stars? I will definitely revisit this series, the drawing, the characters, the storyline. It definitely feels less complex (at this point) than what we have seen during the Avengers era but we'll see as more plots unfold.
