The Catcher in the Rye
A book by J.D. Salinger
I was in it for the ride. I didn't have an idea of where this was going but I really enjoyed the journey. Sometimes his feeling of alienation resonated with me and I was surprised at how some parts were so relatable. I was fascinated by its influence in literature and pop culture, I had no idea of the connection of this book with John Lennon's killer. All in all I wouldn't praise this book for its writing but more for its story-telling. A perfect rating for this book would be 3.5 but I am rounding up because I have a soft spot for this journey-like novels.
