Saga

A book by Brain K. Vaughan

The first 10 volumes were a rollercoaster of emotions. After several recommendations I finally picked up the first volume and pretty much bought the other 9 right after. Fiona's visuals are stunning and the universe represented by her drawings and Brian's storyline are fascinating. I was often left speechless for some of the unique species represented throughout the story and found them refreshingly original. It is often a bittersweet story which keeps you at the edge of your seat. Each volume could explore the surroundings in much more depth and I would still be hooked. I give it a 5 star because I believe this is worth a second read in the hope of picking up more details and really appreciate the out-of-the-box thinking.

I also think that the story hit me differently as a parent and would have probably been a much different read a few years ago.
