Remarkably Bright Creatures

A book by Shelby Van Pelt

I won't lie, I started this book mostly because it involved an octopus. No regrets! This was a charming novel, while the plot becomes somewhat obvious half way through the book I thought I wouldn't enjoy the reveal. I was surprised that I did! It's a clever book at times and quite an enjoyable read. I really wanted to shake up Cameron at times but I realize that in life some events affect people differently. It's hard to empathize with him for most of the book until he finds his path.

I recommend this book if you like a novel that's not too serious and not too light. And if you like octopuses (fun fact: octopi is acceptable but not correct) as much as I do, you will want way more entries of Marcellus' diary, but I'll take what I can get!
